R-value is the measure of thermal resistance. Insulation’s ability to resist heat flow is identified and labeled by R-value. “R” stands for resistance of heat flowing. When you see high R-value, it means it is more resistant to heat flow, the greater the insulating power, the greater the insulating effectiveness.
